Heron Island may only be 8km long, but that certainly does not limit the variation in landscape to be found. From the moment we docked on that wooden jetty, past the rusting shipwreck, making our way down the sandy path without visibility through the dense foliage; it was all a journey of discovery... until you reach the research centre; the whole precinct revealed at once as you look down that dusty tractor path along which all buildings are oriented.
The tree house seeks to provide a new way/dimension/level through which to occupy the dense tree canopy, understand/discover the island's topography, and bring a sense of excitement to the daily ritual.
